MRE: Mrs. Robinson Experience

It all started when I watched The Graduate one night.

Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me. Aren't you?

Then it led to a tweet:

The tweet led to an email:

I think we're around the same age, but I'd still love to have the MRE Mrs. Robinson Experience with you.

Which led to another tweet:

Anne Bancroft was a mere six years older than Dustin Hoffman at the time of the film. If it’s not a significant age gap, then what does it mean?

I’ll let a client’s request help explain:

I want to feel desired. I want to be pursued.

I think for many men raised to be the de facto leaders in dating—to always initiate, to plan, to hunt, to seduce—it can be a relief to sit back for a bit and let another "drive".

In the iconic first hotel meeting, Mrs. Robinson effortlessly drives the entire affair, while guiding Benjamin through the minutia of arrangements:

Benjamin: He didn’t see me. (looks at the waiter as he walks past)

Mrs. Robinson: Waiter, I will have a martini…You don’t have to be so nervous, you know?…Did you get us a room?...Have you gotten us a room yet?…Do you want to?…You want to get it now?

Benjamin: Now?

Mrs. Robinson: Yes.

From another client:

All the women I've ever been with have been submissive. I'm not into whips or chains or anything like that, but I like that you seem quite...enthusiastic.

Indeed.

One of my favorite things about consulting is seeing what kind of energy I bring out in others and what energy others bring out in me, especially if this energy is transgressive or forbidden. Every exchange is unique and at times ineffable.

I love to see someone light up as they relax into a novel way of being.

What will we bring out in each other?

When will you let me be your Mrs. Robinson? Book it now.
